Zach Gardner has resigned as head coach of the West Holmes football team. The West Holmes Athletic Department announced his resignation in a press release sent out Friday, Jan. 5.

The release credited Gardner for being an integral part of the football program over the last seven years, crediting him for bringing a wealth of experience, dedication and success to the team while thanking him for his tireless efforts and commitment to success throughout his tenure as head football coach.

Under Gardner, the Knights compiled a 58-25 record, including an 11-5 mark in playoff games. West Holmes reached the regional semifinals the past four seasons, including a state semifinals berth in 2021.
