Craig A. Lawhead, president of The Killbuck Savings Bank Co., was appointed to the board of directors Dec. 13. Lawhead is a 1976 graduate of West Holmes High School. After his honorable discharge from the United States Air Force in 1980, he returned to his hometown and began his banking career as a teller. He has worked at The Killbuck Savings Bank Co. for 30 years. Victor H. Weaver, a 1979 graduate of Hiland High School, began his banking career as a loan officer with The Killbuck Savings Bank Co. in 1993. Most recently he has been a commercial lender at the loan annex in Millersburg. He has transferred to the main office in Killbuck and been appointed executive vice president/senior lending officer. He has assumed the duties previously performed by Lawhead. “Both Mr. Lawhead and Mr. Weaver were born and raised in Holmes County. They have been groomed for these positions for some time now and, as expected, the transitions are going very well. With their enthusiasm, banking knowledge, and commitment to the stability and growth of the bank, I believe that they will be very successful running the bank in the years to come,” said Luther Proper, CEO. The Killbuck Savings Bank Co. was established in 1900, and has been serving the banking needs of its neighbors and friends for 110 years. Most recently, the bank has earned Bauer Financials Five-Star Superior rating for the past 78 consecutive quarters. Only seven percent of the nation’s banks can claim this distinction.
