Mt. Eaton Spring Sale

Although it doesn’t always feel that way, temperatures are rising and winter is almost over. That means the Mt. Eaton Spring Sale is just around the corner. This year the sale will be April 3, but unlike years past, bargains will be available all day, not just in the afternoon and evening. Now in its sixth year, the Spring Sale has been growing steadily since its inception. “I expect a lot of people this year,” John Miller of Mt. Eaton Hardware said. “It brings people to the area.” In years past, Mt. Eaton Harness, Mt. Eaton Hardware, Mt. Eaton Grain House, Rogers Produce, Yoder Service and Supply, Spector Store, Hilltop Market, Mt. Eaton Elevator, B&R Engine and S&M Bike Shop have all participated in the sale. According to Miller many businesses will be participating again this year with sales on their merchandise throughout the day. He said Mt. Eaton Hardware will have paint on sale this year. If you buy one gallon of paint the second will be only $5. As well as the sales offered, there is also a chance to win Mt. Eaton bucks that can be used at any store in Mt. Eaton. Each business participating in the Spring Sale contributed to the money used for the prizes, which total $500. This year there will be eight winners; two $100 winners, two $75 winners, two $50 winners and two $25 winners. The drawing for these prizes will take place at 8:30 p.m. at Mt. Eaton Hardware. Winners need not be present to win, as in years past. Customers can enter the drawing by purchasing merchandise at businesses participating in the sale. They will receive one ticket for $20 spent at a business and one for just walking through the doors. Don’t miss out on these special sales that will aid in refreshing your home and garden for spring.
