A View of Calvary rises to the stage April 1

On Maundy Thursday, April 1, at 8 p.m., Trinity United Methodist Church, 1556 Rex Drive, Orrville, will present the drama A View of Calvary, under the direction of Dan Holderman. Step back in time, more than 2,000 years, to the foot of an old rugged cross. Meet people, not the characters of some fictional story, but real people who were a part of that scene so long ago. Some were believers; some were not. Some sought His death; others mourned it. But each had a unique response to that Roman cross and the one hanging there, the one on the center of three crosses, the one over whose head the inscription was posted: “This is Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews.” Children ages 5-12 will have the opportunity to attend the drama or attend a special kids service entitled The Servant King, also at 8 p.m. Child care will be available for children 4 and under.
