LEAF annual auction and Harvest Festival is Sept. 22
Longenecker Evangelical Anabaptist Fellowship, 2200 Township Road 606, near Winesburg, will host its annual auction and Harvest Festival on Saturday, Sept. 22.
Two new events have been added this year: a barbecue rib cook off by local grillers and a concert by Liberated.
The events scheduled include:
—Breakfast of all-you-can-eat pancakes and sausage, sausage gravy with biscuits, and corn mush from 7-11 a.m.
—Bake sale from 7 a.m. until sold out.
—Car show prizes awarded in various categories including Best of Show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
—Children’s Auction with items for children and bidding by children with parent(s) at 10:30 a.m.
—Rib cook off and lunch stand featuring BBQ ribs by local grill masters with baked beans, noodles, apple sauce or coleslaw as well as a stand with hot dogs, popcorn, homemade ice cream and apple dumplings from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
—Concert by Liberated at 11:30 a.m.
—Main auction (watch for updates of auction items on the church’s Facebook page, Longenecker Evangelical Anabaptist Fellowship) at 1 p.m.
—Raffle drawing — Velec A2 electric bike, five-piece wicker patio set and Ravin crossbow — at 2:30 p.m. with tickets $10 or six for $50. There also will be three themed baskets raffled with tickets $1 or six for $5.
—Concert by Liberated at 3 p.m.
All proceeds from this festival will benefit the Longenecker Building Fund and the Marvin Hershberger Memorial Benefit Fund.
