Beginning Tuesday, March 16, Bolivar United Methodist Church will offer a 10-week video study titled, Simply Christian: Why Christianity Makes Sense, based on the book by Dr. N.T. (Tom) Wright by the same title. Wright offers a fresh and inspiring presentation of the timeless truths of Christianity, making the case that faith is reasonable and rewarding for us today. In this course, he expands on the themes of his acclaimed and best-selling book, Simply Christian, in 10 inspiring and informative lessons.
Wright is one of todays best known and most respected New Testament scholars and Christian speakers. He has had a distinguished academic and pastoral career, including teaching at Oxford University. He currently serves as the Anglican Bishop of Durham, England. He has written more than 30 books, including the award-winning The Resurrection of the Son of God.
This promises to be a stimulating study on 10 Tuesday evenings, from 7-8:30 p.m., beginning March 16. The study will be $8 per person, the cost of the workbook and scholarships are available.
