Skrant to speak at Pleasant View

Larry Skrant will be speaking at Pleasant View Mennonite Church north of Berlin on March 21 and 22. Service times are March 21 at 10:20 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. and March 22 at 7 p.m. Skrant is a member of the First Baptist Church of Spencer, part-time volunteer chaplain for The We Care Program and the director of Changed Lives Ministries. Before that, he was incarcerated in the state of Ohio on three separate occasions. Skrant said “I was a three-time loser. To society, I was beyond salvage. To me, I was beyond hope.” A letter from his daughter helped change his direction in life and find God. He was released from prison 14 years before his anticipated release date with a new heart and with a message. He is now called to take that message back into the prisons, juvenile homes, churches and youth gatherings. Skrant said, “Today, I hold that hope out to a lost and dying generation.” For more information call the church at 330-893-2808.
