St. John’s welcomes new pastor

St. John’s Evangelical Covenant Church of Millersburg announced its new pastor, Rev. Sara Charlton.
Charlton was raised in the Midwest, moving back and forth between Illinois and Oklahoma. She moved to Chicago to attend college and graduate school and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in history from North Park University and a Master of Divinity from North Park Theological Seminary.
Charlton’s first pastoral call was to a small church in McPherson, Kansas, where she served as the interim lead pastor. One of the many benefits for St. John’s by hiring her was her love of baking. The people of St. John’s enjoy homemade communion bread and the many other baked goods brought to meetings and congregants’ homes.
St. John’s is located at 8670 state Route 39 in Millersburg. Sunday services begin with Sunday School at 9 a.m., worship at 10:15 a.m., and a meal and time of fellowship together afterward.
