The Dover Public Library invites the public to view the collections of local stamp collectors from the Tuscora Stamp Club in honor of National Stamp Collecting Month.

The displays, located in the community room art gallery and the display cases feature a wide variety of stamps and postal memorabilia ranging from international stamps, to stamps featuring elements from popular culture such as the “Universal Monsters” and “Dungeons and Dragons” as well as a vintage leather mail bag used by postal carriers.

In addition to the displays, the library will hold a program Saturday, Oct. 26 at 2 p.m. titled “History of the Post Office in Tuscarawas County” led by Scott Pendleton, who is a member of the Tuscora Stamp Club.

The public is reminded that if they or someone they know has a collection they wish to share with the public to contact the library. The Dover Public Library is located at 525 N. Walnut St. For more information call 330-343-6123.
