HOPE Fund meeting, Tuesday, April 13

                        
Members met March 9 and discussed the development of a Web site and print brochures to be utilized as an advertising tool for the organization. Discussion continued regarding different upcoming fundraising and repayment service projects such as the Buehler’s hot dog sales and the Rotary Parade of Flags. Chair Lee Peart reported that she will be participating in the 2010 Career Expo Training Fair on Friday, April 16, to be held at The University of Akron Wayne College. The HOPE Fund (Helping Others Prepare for Employment) is a self-sustaining work and education fund at the Wayne County Community Foundation to support the efforts of the Wayne County Common Good to help community members to get and keep jobs by providing “pay it forward” scholarships and good faith, interest-free loans repaid in cash or service. The committee will meet again April 13, at 6 p.m., at The Barn Restaurant in Smithville.
