Kaylin Root demonstrates how to properly care for rabbits, a skill she learned to do through her experience in 4-H.

                        

The Nashville Jolly Farmers met on May 6 and 20 at the Nashville United Methodist Church.

At the May 6 meeting, Owen Mallash led the Pledge of Allegiance, and Miles Mallasch led the 4-H pledge. Bill Wachtel discussed the upcoming Memorial Day bake sale, tag-in days, animal clinics and other events related to 4-H projects.

Alexis Lang gave a demonstration on how to bottle-feed a calf, Sarah Irwin gave a demonstration on fire safety, Harley Kirtlan gave a demonstration on making pumpkin bread and Kaylin Root gave a demonstration on how to care for a rabbit.

At the May 20 meeting, Kaylin Root led the Pledge of Allegiance, and Kailyn Snyder led the 4-H pledge. The club further discussed its upcoming Memorial Day bake sale. President Gracie Manges reminded the club of upcoming due dates of lease forms and project add and drop deadlines.

Malia Lennington demonstrated how to show rabbits and how to tell the difference between 4 and 6 class rabbits. Kyle Wilson gave his demonstration on his homemade log splitter.

The next meeting will be on June 10 at 7 p.m. at the Nashville United Methodist Church.
