Seven Hills Garden Club donates to Share-A-Christmas

Five members of the Seven Hills Garden Club met at the Glenmont Community Center, Dec. 1. Roll call was answered with a Christmas memory. It was decided to give $25 to Share-A-Christmas, as is done every year. The old Christmas lights that can no longer be strung across the road will be given to the fire department to use at their building or at the town hall. A discussion was held on ways to decorate the town with lights and a few ideas for next year were shared. Dorothy Turner announced that Janet Mann resigned as county chair and Jane Bilek took over, but was not prepared to have a county meeting, so the job of hosting the meeting will take place in the spring. A gift exchange was held, with everyone bringing a gift and taking home a different one by drawing numbers. Robin Gray had the program, and brought supplies to make Christmas arrangements. The projects were a lot of fun, and the meeting then adjourned for refreshments served by Norma Shinabarker. There will be no meeting in January. The next meeting will be Feb. 2, 2011, at the community center.
