Smithville Community Historical Society to meet

The Smithville Community Historical Society will meet on Monday, July 1, at 7 p.m. at the historic Church of God. Pat Chambers will make a presentation on Amish Dolls—A Present-Day Folk Art. The society’s next Open House will be on Sunday, July 21, from 1:30-4 p.m. and will have several special features. The newest building, the Spring House, will be opening and will showcase old-fashioned ways of food preparation and preservation. The Orrville Community Band will be in concert at 3:30 on the Church of God lawn, and following there will be an ice cream social. The public is welcome to attend any and all of these events.
