VFW Ladies Auxiliary selling cancer pins for Health and Happiness
The district president, Martha Smith, was featured at the Oct. 12 meeting of the Dover VFW Ladies Auxiliary. The meeting was opened by the president, Margaret Stocker, after the inspection was completed by district president. The opening prayer was read by Jane Conkle. The secretarys report was read and approved. The treasurers report was read by Nancy Whitehair and approved.
Cancer pins are on sale for $2 from any of the officers. Yearly donations will be given to the VFW cancer fund, Health and Happiness, and the Hospital fund.
The Dover VFW Ladies Auxiliary will be having a bake sale on Nov. 6 at the Memorial Hall during the Veterans Day soup dinner. All baked goods donations should be dropped off at the Memorial Hall before 1 p.m. on Nov. 6.
Planning ahead, the Christmas dinner will be held on Dec. 14 at the Pros Table at 6 p.m. All members of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary are invited.
