Song bird on a stump

This little bird on a stump is actually a bank. I bought it for $7.50 at a recent auction. There is some damage to a tail feather, but I think I can put some money in the bank as it is valued at $400 in Schroeder’s Antique Guide. Sometimes you get lucky! Recent auction prices: white two-gallon crock, $7; crock chick waterer, $50; cut glass pitcher with chip, $10; Gerber nail apron, $10; tabletop corn sheller, $27.50; ankle corn cutter, $20; two iron patio chairs, $15; child’s high chair, $30; small tilt-top table, $15; feed store stack cart, $10; mesh purse, $20; Hopalong Cassidy cup, $8; nice kerosene barn lantern, $40; splint basket, $12; one-man cross-cut saw, $20; brass eagle, $7. Happy hunting, Brooks.
