The American Association of University Women Wooster Branch is now accepting applications for its 2023 AAUW Scholarship Program.

The Wooster AAUW Scholarship is available to Wayne County women who are nontraditional students whose post-secondary education was interrupted and are enrolled or planning to enroll in a qualified, accredited undergraduate associate or bachelor’s degree program.

Funding for the AAUW Scholarship Program is partially provided by the annual AAUW and Kiwanis used book sale held every year in the fall. Awards range from $500-$2,500 based on need and available funds and can be used for tuition and fees required for enrollment. Prior recipients are eligible to reapply, and the number of renewals is at the discretion of the scholarship committee.

The deadline for applications is May 1. The online scholarship application and instructions for applying are on the Wayne County Community Foundation website at www.waynecountycommunityfoundation.org/scholarships#available-to-adults, and information about Wooster AAUW can be found at https://wooster-oh.aauw.net.

AAUW scholarship recipients will be notified by June 15, and funds will be distributed after July 1.

For more information email Pat Mathews, 2023 Wooster AAUW Scholarship Committee chair, at aauwscholarships@gmail.com.

The goal of the national AAUW is to advance equity and empower women.
