Buckeye Career Center is opening its doors to prospective adult students for its summer open house. The BCC adult education open house will be Tuesday, June 12 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at Buckeye Career Center.

The open house is open to recent high school graduates, adults of all ages wanting to start a new career or even adults hoping to learn additional skills. Attendees can gather more information about the eight full-time programs being offered in the fall and speak with admissions representatives about the courses and financial aid options.

The programs include cosmetology; dental assisting; heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration; heavy equipment/CLD A operator; medical assisting; medical office and billing specialist; Ohio peace officers training academy; and utility lineworker.

All of the programs, except cosmetology, can be completed within nine months. Cosmetology is a two-year program. The $50 registration fee for adult education classes will be waived for any prospective student who registers for classes the night of the open house.
