Competition held at Kent State Tuscarawas
Several members of the Buckeye Career Center Business Professionals of America chapter qualified for the Ohio BPA Leadership Conference. The Region 8 competition was held at Kent State Tuscarawas Jan. 8. The state competition will be March 10-11 in Columbus.
The following BCC business and marketing students earned a bid to state: Madeline Ward, Strasburg, Visual Design Team; Logan McPeek, Indian Valley, and Madison Harmon, Claymont, in Fundamental Word Processing; Jacky Lopez, Dover, Macey Anderson, Quaker Digital Academy, and Sidney Moore, Ridgewood, in Website Design Team; Danny Dews, Carrollton, in Personal Finance Management; and Ava Starner, Garaway, in Parliamentary Procedure Team.
The following computer technology/network systems students will compete at state: Blake Addy, Indian Valley, Landon Burgess, Indian Valley, Jade McKim, Newcomerstown, and Wesley Jones, Indian Valley, in Network Design Team; Bennet Brown, New Philadelphia, and Kayla Yoder, Strasburg, in Server Admin Using Microsoft; Caleb Shanklin, Strasburg, and Kaiden Pack, Strasburg, in Computer Network Technology; Warren Dunne, New Philadelphia, and Jaylyn Young, Indian Valley, in Computer Security; Lex Kaser, Claymont, and Hannah Henry, Strasburg, in Device Configuration and Troubleshooting; and Evan Harsh, Carrollton, and Blake Stoller, Carrollton, in Network Administration Using Cisco.
The following Buckeye Business Academy at East Holmes campus students earned top spots to qualify for state in their respective competitions: Marissa Montanez, Naomi Crossan, Deborah Hershberger, Mosheh Crossan and Caleb Hershberger in Parliamentary Procedure Team; Mosheh Crossan in Fundamental Accounting; and Naomi Crossan in Basic Office Systems & Procedures.
The students are instructed by Heather Irwin, business and marketing; Amy Stauffer-McNutt, Buckeye Business Academy at East Holmes; and Bill Alexander, computer technology/network systems.
