Homeschool Day set at Zoar
Historic Zoar Village will host Homeschool Day on Friday, April 19 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
During Homeschool Day students learn how the Zoar Separatists prepared for spring through a variety of hands-on activities including a bread relay, butter churning, planting seeds and tin smithing.
Students also will visit the blacksmith, the dairy, the laundry and many other buildings to learn the history of Zoar.
The event is open to homeschoolers of all ages. Tickets are $7 per student, $7 per adult, and free for children age 5 and under. Admission is free for one adult per group. Reservations are requested.
