HVAC equipment donation supports program
                        

The Ashland County-West Holmes Joint Vocational School District Board of Education held a regular meeting in the board room on March 20.

The board did the following during the meeting:

—Recognized the following February Student of the Month recipients: Baylie Mortimer, mechanical engineering, Loudonville High School; Emma Markham, welding technology, Ashland High School; and Hamdi Nefzi, heating, ventilation and air-conditioning, adult education.

—Authorized the execution and delivery of a master electric energy sales agreement between the district and Power4Schools’ endorsed electric supplier ENGIE Resources LLC, effective July 1 through June 30, 2027.

—Accepted a donation from Robertson Heating of Mansfield for HVAC equipment valued at $4,478.84 to the HVAC/R program for educational use for HVAC skills and troubleshooting.

—Approved the adult education advisory committees for the 2024-25 school year as required.

—Accepted the resignation of adult education personnel Mary Bruno, corporate services.

—Approved the employment of Kevin Hunter, building trades instructor, West Holmes High School, on a certified one-year probationary contract.

—Approved the certified/classified personnel as substitutes, effective 2024-25.

—Approved the employment of certified/classified personnel as substitutes, effective 2024-25 through Tri-County ESC.

The next board meeting is scheduled for April 17.
