Indian Valley High School students showcased their talent at the 2025 Northeast Ohio Scholastic Art Awards, where a total of 63 artworks were honored with Gold Keys, Silver Keys and honorable mention awards. The Scholastic Art Awards serve as one of the most prestigious programs for young artists in the United States. The students’ art teacher is Sara Dittfeld.

Junior Ashlynn Bolon was a standout, earning a Gold Key for her digital art piece. Bolon’s success didn’t stop there, as she also received Silver Key awards for six additional artworks and honorable mentions for four more.

Olivia Bamfield, a junior, also was awarded two Gold Keys for her digital art pieces. As part of the competition, works that receive Gold Key awards will be forwarded to New York City for national adjudication, with results to be announced at the end of March.

Silver Key awards also were presented to several students. Bolon and juniors Aubrey Elliott, Lily Johnson, Alexie Menefee, Haylie Menefee, Melody Sprowl and Cass Wright earned Silver Keys. Sophomores Alonna Allan, Logan Burrier and Matilyn Page and freshmen Kali Douglas and Emersyn Heath also received the honor.

Honorable mention awards were plentiful, with numerous students recognized for their artwork. Bolon again stood out, earning four honorable mentions for her work, while Elliott was honored with two. Other juniors receiving honorable mentions included Leon Kaletka, Alexie Menefee, Haylie Menefee, Melody Sprowl and Cass Wright. Sophomores Alonna Allan, Logan Burrier, Ava Fisher, Lilly Milburn, Adri Neininger, Matilyn Page, McKenna Rausch and Lacey Varner also received honorable mentions, as did freshmen Ava Cummings, Carly Clarke and Kali Douglas.
