Enrollment for spring semester 2010 is the highest enrollment for spring in the 41-year history of Kent State University at Tuscarawas. Recently released official 15th day numbers reports Kent State at Tuscarawas enrollment at 2,387, a 20 percent increase over spring semester 2009, and only eight students less than the official fall semester 2009 enrollment of 2,395. “This impressive spring total is more than 99 percent of our fall enrollment,” said Laurie Donley, director of enrollment management and student services. “We are attributing the record-breaking enrollment to several factors that also impacted the record-breaking fall semester 2009 enrollment. We are experiencing positive community response to our offerings of quality bachelor’s and associate degrees at an affordable tuition rate, as well as successful implementation of student success initiatives. The increase includes traditional and non-traditional age students pursuing higher education degrees to improve their career opportunities.” Kent State at Tuscarawas offers 19 associate degrees and nine bachelor’s degrees. The campus is located at 330 University Drive NE, New Philadelphia and can be reached at 330-339-3391.
