Dover Public Library is ready to kick off its new round of activities for home-schooled kids this month.

"We try to provide a wide range of educational activities that may fall outside of their normal home-school curriculum," youth services manager Claire Kandle said. "We want parents to know that the library is a great way to supplement teaching at home and that we have created some really fun ways to learn."

This winter and spring kids can take lessons in paper-making, sign language, Planet Earth and Earth Day and take a hands-on introduction to computer programming with no screen time involved.

Classes are held twice each month on Wednesdays from 2-3 p.m. The first class will be Feb. 21.

Call the library at 330-343-6123 for more information. Online registration is available at www.doverlibrary.org/event-calendar/.
