New Philadelphia Music Marathon to be held Saturday, March 13

                        
The New Philadelphia High School Instrumental Department will hold their annual Music Marathon this Saturday, March 13. The marathon is a day filled with various high school and middle school music groups practicing in the gym for the entire day followed by a concert in the evening. The practice schedule for the day is: 7-8:30 a.m., high school symphonic band; 8:45-9:15 a.m., high school jazz band; 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. - Kaleidoscope Winter Guard; 12:45-1:30 p.m. – seventh-grade band; 1:45-4:45 p.m., Indoor Percussion Ensemble; 5-5:30 p.m., eighth-grade band; 5:45-6:15 p.m., Welty steel drum band; 6:30-6:45 p.m., eighth-grade/high school combined. A concert will be held at 7 p.m. showcasing all of the groups. The Indoor Percussion Ensemble and Winter Guard will also perform their competition shows. The gym will be open all day for spectators.
