Ohio State Mansfield to host Buckeye Pathways Feb. 26
Students can learn about the many paths to earning a degree from the Ohio State University during the annual Buckeye Pathways event, which has been rescheduled for Feb. 26 at the Ohio State University at Mansfield.
The program will be offered from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and will include a range of professors and staff who can answer questions about the 13 degrees offered at Ohio State Mansfield and the more than 200 majors students can begin in Mansfield and complete at Ohio State in Columbus.
“Buckeye Pathways is an opportunity for students to explore major options at the Mansfield and Columbus campuses, so students can make informed decisions and choose the best path for them,” said Jamie Stima, academic adviser at Ohio State Mansfield. “Discover the path to your major by visiting with representatives from academic areas on the Columbus and Mansfield campuses.”
A pizza buffet will be available, and there will be time to socialize with current students, faculty and staff.
Representatives from Mansfield will cover academic advising, financial aid, and degrees in biology, English, history, psychology, sociology, engineering technology and education.
Representatives from Columbus will showcase the College of Pharmacy, College of Engineering, College of Public Health, the John Glenn College of Public Affairs, the College of Education and Human Ecology, the Moritz College of Law, College of Dentistry, School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, and the Second-Year Transformational Experience Program.
“Buckeye Pathways is a terrific opportunity for students to interact with faculty and staff representing numerous majors that Ohio State offers,” said Jeane Mauriocourt, academic adviser at Ohio State Mansfield.
Students come with a variety of questions, according to Stima. Students who are in a major that can be completed on the Columbus campus usually have questions about the campus change process and what they can expect from their major on the Columbus campus.
Students who are completing a degree on the Mansfield campus usually have questions about internships, research and other extracurricular opportunities related to their major.
There is no registration for this event. For more information email or call Jamie Stima at stima.5@osu.edu or 419-747-8519.
