AC-WH board approves pair of van drivers
The Ashland County-West Holmes Joint Vocational School District Board of Education held a regular meeting in the board room on March 21.
The board did the following during the meeting:
—Recognized February Student of the Month recipients Rori Hiller, junior, health tech, Ashland High School; Cheyenne Rowland, senior, culinary careers, West Holmes High School; and Kadyn Klecka, adult education, welding technology.
—Recognized Tod Fox, agriculture, for achieving the Ohio Ag Educator of the Year.
—Heard presentations from Rick Brindley and Lela Funk on rebranding.
—Accepted a donation from Famous Supply of Mansfield for a donation of HVAC equipment valued at $7,733.45 for the adult education HVAC/R program.
—Accepted the resignations of Dasha Mitchell, cafeteria aide, and Donne Copenhaver, assistant principal.
—Approved the following van drivers: Timothy Houston and James Ritchie.
—Approved the employment of certified/classified personnel as substitutes, effective 2023-24, through Tri-County ESC.

The next board meeting is scheduled for April 18.
