Scholarship named in honor of DHS grad
The first Keith Johnson Bobcat Scholarship application forms are available at the Dover High School guidance office for 2017-18 Dover seniors who will attend Ohio University. The scholarships are for $1,500.
Based on financial need and strong work ethic, the scholarship has been established in memory of Keith Johnson, a 2011 Dover graduate who excelled in wrestling and football despite having an undetected rare heart defect.
Johnson continued his education, graduating from Ohio University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in health. He was exceptionally appreciative of the opportunities and experiences he had as an OU Bobcat.
Completed applications need to be submitted to the guidance office by April 2.
In order to offer the scholarship(s) on a yearly basis, a golf scramble will be held on June 30 at Willandale Golf Course.
