Wayne County Schools Career Center to host job fair, open house
Many individuals currently looking for employment may have found that they do not have the skills the local employers require. Adult & Community Education at the Wayne County Schools Career Center would like to help them develop the skills they need for successful employment.
Adult Education will host a job fair and open house Thursday, May 9 from 5-7:30 p.m. The event will be held in the school commons, and other Adult Education areas, labs and classrooms will be open as well. The event is free.
More than 25 local companies who are hiring have already registered for the job fair. Job seekers should come prepared with resumes.
Guests may attend a free workshop on a premier website, Ohio Means Jobs (OMJ), to market their skills to prospective employers.
Visitors may attend an Adult & Community Education information session to find out how they can upgrade their skills or make a career change, or attend mini-sessions to learn about financial aid, tips for successful job searches, and making professional resumes.
