The Vera Dilgard Music Legacy Award is a scholarship program provided every year by the Wooster Music Club. The goal of the scholarship program is to provide encouragement and financial support to Wayne County children and youth in their pursuit of music education.

Nominations for the award are made by private music teachers of eligible students. A teacher may make two nominations per award year, and teachers must be 18 years of age and have at least two years of experience as a private music teacher. Teachers are encouraged to consider financial need and the student’s level of interest and commitment when choosing nominees. Students must be a Wayne County resident or a student attending a Wayne County school district.

Scholarship award winners for the 2021-22 program year are as follows: teacher Loretta Adkins with award given to student Sammy Amier; teacher Brian Dykstra with awards given to Hannah Hines and Clarie Yost; teacher Diana Kobs with award given to Olivia Miley; teacher Myra Leeper with awards given to Anna Kiss and Taelyn Stankiewicz; teacher Meg Litteral with awards given to Abigail Eddy and Amanda Eddy; teacher Sallie Morton with awards given to Allison Gasser, Calvin Gasser, Jenna Gasser and Carson Merryweather; and teacher Stephanie Musselman with awards given to Eli Hembree and Gloria Hembree.

The Wooster Music Club congratulates these students for their achievements in pursuit of music education.
