Local historian Tom Adamich will explore the history of one of Dover’s oldest businesses on Thursday, Oct. 6 at 6:30 p.m.

From its beginnings in 1922 when two line workers at the Sharpsville Boiler Works in Sharpsville, Pennsylvania started their own company in a new town to the building of state-of-the-art structural steels today, Dover Tank & Plate’s contributions to the local economy and communities in the Tuscarawas Valley and beyond will be explored.

Adamich has owned and operated his Visiting Librarian Service since 1993. Born in Dover and raised in New Philadelphia and Largo, Florida, Adamich has served as a public/school/academic librarian, archivist, digital asset manager and historian, writing two books including "Clearwater’s Harbor Oaks" and "The Greening Nursery Company: Born 1850 and An American Success Story."

This program will be held in the community room at the Dover Public Library, 525 N. Walnut St., Dover. Register online at www.doverlibrary.org or call the library at 330-343-6123.
