Beginning Tuesday, June 1, the first of several closures will begin north of Dover on state Route 800 as part of the construction for the ongoing major rehabilitation project between Dover and the Stark County line. The closures are necessary for the contractor to remove the existing concrete pavement from several sections of state Route 800 and replace it with asphalt pavement.

The following dates and corresponding locations are subject to change throughout the project. Any changes will be communicated in a timely manner.

June 1-22: Dover Dam to state Route 212 West (Bolivar/Zoar).

June 24 through July 1: state Route 212 West (Bolivar/Zoar) to state Route 212 East (Atwood).

July 2-19: state Route 212 East (Atwood) to Mineral City.

July 20 through Aug. 15: state Route 183 to the Stark County line (traffic maintained to the Crossroads Plaza, Bellstores via state Route 183).

Residents and property owners within the closure areas will have one-way access to their homes and properties. However, the road will be closed to through traffic within the given closure dates.

Similar closures will occur along state Route 800 in 2022 between Mineral City and state Route 183. Details for that work will be shared next spring.
