MCH Shuttle is a 12-week pilot program to provide free transportation once a week to medical appointments in Wooster for pregnant women and children 17 years old and younger.

                        

The MCH Shuttle program is a 12-week pilot program to provide free transportation once a week to medical appointments in Wooster for pregnant women and children 17 years old and younger in households with a total income at or below 250 percent of the federal poverty guidelines.

Rides can be scheduled 24 hours in advance and during the same day if a last-minute medical trip is needed. Riders must apply for the program and provide proof of income.

Transportation providers for this program are Gilcrest Transportation and Precious Angels Transportation.

Service days and hours will be Mondays, July 2, July 30 and Aug. 27 from 1-7 p.m.; Tuesdays, July 10, Aug. 7 and Sept. 4 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Wednesdays, July 18, Aug. 15 and Sept. 12 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Thursdays, July 26, Aug. 23 and Sept. 20 from 1-7 p.m.

This is a pilot program funded by the Ohio Department of Health and is operated in partnership with the Wayne County Health Department and Community Action Wayne/Medina.
