Holmes County Rails-to-Trails gets a 4-H spring cleaning
The Prairie Partners 4-H club met at the Holmes County Rails-to-Trails on Saturday, May 25 to clean flowerbeds, plant flowers and mulch.
The regular meeting was held afterward. Pledges were led by Clover Buds JJ Croskey and Kayla Troyer. There were 13 members, two advisors and four parents present. Recreation was the flowerbed clean-up.
Members approved a motion to purchase signs for the flowerbeds with the 4-H logo showing they are maintained by the club. A sign-up sheet also was passed around to pick weeks to take care of weeding throughout the summer. The group will have a fundraiser bake sale at ACE Hardware in Millersburg on Saturday, June 22.
The next meeting will be the community-service trash pick-up on Township Road 553 on Tuesday, June 11.
