The Tuscarawas County Anti-Drug Coalition is inviting the public to the upcoming Hope Rising premier on Tuesday, Nov. 12 at Quaker Cinema, where two locally produced films were created to motivate and inspire continued efforts in Tuscarawas County to fight addiction.

One film challenges each person in Tuscarawas County to be part of the solution to the addiction epidemic. The second showcases a Tuscarawas County woman who has regained her life and focuses on the many people who have invested in her and her family to help her through treatment and supported her in her recovery efforts.

In addition to the videos, there will be a speaker sharing a personal story from addiction to recovery and a panel discussion. This event also will include music, light fare and resource booths.

“Tuscarawas County is standing up to addiction, and we’re doing it together,” ADC coordinator Jodi Salvo said. “Our community is strong and motivated to initiate real change in this ongoing battle. This event embodies that mission and encourages everyone to be informed, inspired and involved.”

Quaker Cinema is located at 158 W. High Ave. in New Philadelphia. Doors will open at 6 p.m. with the event beginning at 6:30 p.m.
