Love Center was busy during May
A total of 321 different families came to the Love Center during the month of May. Some families came in more than once, making a grand total of 423 visits. Food from the Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank was 36,905 pounds, and food donated by businesses, churches and individuals was 11,004 pounds. Volunteer hours served at the Love Center totaled 824.
Food and cash donations from churches and ministries included Clark Presbyterian Church, Faith Bible Church, St. John’s Church of Walnut Creek, St. John’s Evangelical Covenant Church and Zion Reformed Church of Winesburg.
Food and cash donations from businesses, organizations and clubs included Ace Hardware, Berlin Natural Bakery, Emma Cates Crust Bakery, Farmerstown Auction, Greenleaf Acres, Hershberger Farm & Bakery, Hillcrest Orchard, Holmes County Home, J-Mar Market, Jitters Coffee House, Kauffman Bakery, McDonald’s of Millersburg, Mrs. Miller’s Homemade Noodles, Mt. Hope Bulk Food, Postal Drive, Schlabach Distributors, Walnut Creek Cheese and Winesburg Meats.
Food and cash donations from individuals included Brian Barbey, Nancy Bridenthal, Ray Casdorph, Blake Day, Kay Earney, Marion Hershberger, Arden Kauffman, Cindy McDowell, Lester Miller, Betty Mullet, Dr. John Rehm, Barb Starner, Ronald Urmetz Estate, Libby Wengerd, Katharyn Wheeler, David Yoder and several anonymous.
