NAMI annual gathering Aug. 22 in Wooster
                        

NAMI Wayne and Holmes Counties will host its annual gathering on Thursday, Aug. 22 at The Connection Conference and Event Center in Wooster.

Social time will begin at 5:30 p.m., and dinner will be provided by Exclusively Yours Catering at 6 p.m. Keynote speaker Robert Hunt Sr. will share his personal story titled Family Issues with Mental Health — A Son’s Journey. Attendees will gain new perspectives and inspiration that mental health recovery is possible. Be with others impacted by mental illness and learn about NAMI's initiatives to support the community.

In addition to the program, NAMI will honor individuals who have shown exceptional efforts in this past year such as the Ginger Handwerk Award for MOCA House, the NAMI Community Service Award and the CIT Professional of the Year.

NAMI Wayne and Holmes Counties offers many programs for those with a mental health diagnosis, their families, friends and caregivers at no cost.
