NAMI Wayne and Holmes Counties has been selected as a finalist for a $10,000 GBU Foundation Community Grant.

NAMI Wayne and Holmes Counties was nominated to receive a GBU Foundation Community Grant by the community, successfully advanced past the judging round and is now a finalist for the grant. Now in its second year, the GBU Foundation Community Grant program is dedicated to supporting nonprofit organizations that make an impact on their communities.

The GBU Foundation Community Grant program is an initiative of GBU Life as part of its annual Day of Giving. The program was designed to provide funding for 501(c)(3) organizations that contribute to their communities in alignment with GBU’s four community pillars: Wellness, Education, Charitable Giving and Hometown Hero Support. Community members nominated organizations, and a selection committee evaluated the nominees based on their mission and contributions to their local communities.

The finalists are now entering the voting phase. Public voting started Feb. 1 and continues through Feb. 28 at 11:59 p.m. Community members are encouraged to support their favorite organizations by voting at www.gbu.org/foundation/.
