Students in sixth grade through 12th grade are invited to Orrville Public Library’s Teen Book Club on Thursday, June 12 at 6 p.m. The group will discuss recent reading selections and create bookmarks. No registration is required.

Library of Things

Visit Orrville Public Library on Saturday, June 14 to explore its Library of Things collection. With 176 items in the collection, there is something for every age group including board games, outdoor games, STEAM activities, toddler toys and Tonies.

No registration is needed. Drop in anytime from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information call the information desk at 330-683-1065.

Story Time at the StoryWalk

Orrville Public Library will host Story Time at the StoryWalk on Thursday, June 19. Children age 3-6, along with parents, caregivers and siblings, are invited to meet at the trailhead at 10:30 a.m. This bilingual story time will feature “My Colors, My World” and “Mis Colores, Mi Mundo.” The Storybook Trail is located east of the dog park, with parking off Ella Street.

CAMO — An Incredible Lifetime Journey

After witnessing the devastating loss of life during her time in the Peace Corps, Kathy Tschiegg vowed to improve the quality of life for the people of Central America. In 1993 she launched Central American Medical Outreach. The organization has grown to provide more than 174,000 lifesaving services each year to people who otherwise would not have access to medical aid.

Tschiegg shares her story in “Hope for the Forgotten.” She will speak at Orrville Public Library on Thursday, June 19 at 6 p.m. to discuss her mission and experiences in providing critical care.

No registration is required for this free program.

Speed Puzzle for Kids

Children in first grade through third grade are invited to compete in Orrville Public Library’s Speed Puzzle Challenge on Saturday, June 21 at 11 a.m. Participants will work in teams of four to complete puzzles quickly while competing against four other teams.

Registration for this free event is now open. Each participant must be registered. Sign up through the website calendar or by calling the children’s desk.

Youth Book Club

Orrville Public Library has revamped its book club for children in fourth grade through sixth grade. The first meeting will be Thursday, June 26 at 4 p.m. Participants will discuss favorite books and select a title for the July meeting.

Registration will begin Monday, June 9. Sign up through the website calendar or call the children’s department.
