Over 300 families visit Love Center in Sept.
A total of 309 different families came to the Love Center during the month of September. Some families came in more than once, making a grand total of 421 visits. Food from the Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank was 33,153 pounds, and food donated by businesses, churches and individuals was 10,422 pounds. Volunteer hours served at the Love Center totaled 819.
Food and cash donations from churches and ministries were as follows: Clark Presbyterian Church, Faith Lutheran Church, Gateway Fellowship, Grace Church, St. John’s Church of Walnut Creek, St. John’s Women’s Ministry in Millersburg and St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Millersburg.
Food and cash donations from businesses, organizations and clubs were as follows: Berlin Natural Bakery, D & M Harvest Market, Farmerstown Auction, Garden of Hope, Hershberger Farm & Bakery, Hillcrest Orchard, Holmes County Fair, Holmes County Home, Jitters Coffee House, Kauffman Bakery, McDonald’s in Millersburg, Walmart in Millersburg and Weaver Produce.
Food and cash donations from individuals were as follows: Ray Casdorph, Sandra Coleman, Kayleen Elliot, Matt Feikert, Tim Feikert, Nina Kasner, Arden Kauffman, Matt and Brook Mast, Steve Miller, Bunny Mohr, Betty Mullet, Dr. John Rehm, William and Eleanor Runyon, Beth Ruttencutter, Leroy and Patricia Shaw, Bob and Bev Starner, Thomas Stringfellow, Kurt Wachtel, Katharyn Wheeler, Ben Yoder, Joy Yoder, and four anonymous.
Cash contributions for the general fund can be sent to P.O. Box 31, Millersburg, OH 44654, and food donations can be dropped off at the Love Center, 1291 Massillon Road, Suite A, Millersburg, any Monday, Wednesday or Friday.
