'Sabrina Fair' opens Oct. 5 at Little Theatre
"Sabrina Fair" will open Friday, Oct. 5 and continue Oct. 6, 7, 12, 13, 14, 19 and 20 at The Little Theatre of Tuscarawas County.
“Sabrina Fair,” a play based on the movie, “Sabrina,” is set on Long Island in the 1950s. The play centers around the very rich Larrabee family and its involvement with Sabrina Fairchild, the daughter of the family chauffeur. She has just returned from five years in Paris and presents herself as a young woman of beauty, charm and sophistication, so different from the girl the family had largely ignored.
She has come home with a wealthy French suitor in tow to find out if she is still in love with the younger Larrabee son, David. The elder son, Linus, a cynical, good-humored tycoon who has taken control of the family fortune, detects Sabrina's feelings for his brother and for his own amusement lays a trap to bring them together.
But how will his socialite mother and eccentric father react? And what about her suitor who has followed her all the way from Paris? Who is it Sabrina really wants and will she get her man?
