Society to hold their final meeting of the year
The Navarre-Bethlehem Township Historical Society will hold a meeting on Nov. 1 at 10 a.m. followed by a pizza lunch to mark the end of another year. All members are welcome.
Following the lunch, the museums will be closed until June 2024, and the office in the Heritage Education Building will be closed for the holidays. Society business will resume the first Wednesday in January with the Heritage Education Building being open most Wednesdays from 9-11:30 a.m. after that. The society will be closed when the Fairless School District closes for inclement weather.
The 2024 calendars are currently being offered for sale at Agnes Meats, Real Deals, Rise up Cafe, Scriptshop Pharmacy and Navarre Village Hall during their regular business hours. You also can buy a calendar at the Heritage Education Center until Nov. 1. The cost is $8. This year’s theme is local artists’ renderings of the township through oils, acrylics, pencil and watercolors.
Next spring Linda Hug Art Gallery will have one room dedicated to local art work. It will be open to the public throughout the summer on Wednesdays from 9-11:30 a.m. or by appointment. Call 330-879-5983 to set up an appointment.
