WCHS note cards now on sale
The Wayne County Historical Society is currently selling historical note cards by local artist Wendy Campbell-Klepper.
The cards are $15 for a pack of 10 with two each of five different designs featuring homes on the Historical Founders' Row Bever Street in Wooster.
Campbell-Klepper is a self-taught artist, born and raised in Wooster. As a teenager she often created portraits of friends and family. As an adult she was the winner for the 2001 and 2004 Goodwill Industries of Holmes County holiday ornaments and has completed several commissioned pieces for clients.
She designed paintings of several Wayne County historical homes located on Founders' Row and additional historical commercial buildings located in downtown Wooster. In most of these paintings, you will find two red-headed children and an orange cat. Other interests include designing make-do bedpost dolls, using found objects. Her bedpost dolls and short stories about them have been published in several magazines.
To order note cards, call the WCHS Tuesday through Friday from 1-5 p.m. at 330-264-8856. The office is located at 546 E. Bowman St. in Wooster.
