The Wayne County Commissioners and Wayne County Planning Department need input for the new County Comprehensive Plan. If you missed the opportunity to participate in the first round of public workshops to launch the Wayne Onward Comprehensive Plan, it’s not too late to have your say.

An interactive online workshop is now available at www.wayneonward.com/opportunities-survey/.

The comprehensive plan will be an updated long-term guide that expresses the values and aspirations of the community and serves as a guide for future development. The plan will cover a range of topics and will aim to manage change in the county while preserving what makes it special. Everyone who lives and works in Wayne County is encouraged to participate.

The website is interactive and designed to allow participants to provide ideas to help shape the plan. The input gathered, along with technical analysis, will be used to develop a vision and specific, implementable action items that county agencies and organizations can pursue.

“We want our plan to incorporate everyone’s vision for the future, so we hope we get many people across the county to participate. This is a special opportunity for our community to share big ideas for Wayne County,” said Trevor Hunt, director of the Wayne County Commissioners’ Planning Department, which is spearheading the project.
