We burn the sawdust and shavings to heat our kilns and buildings, said Yoder. Bark is shredded to create mulch for use in landscaping. Nothing is wasted.

The wholesales department can assist you in custom truckloads of the products you need in the lengths and grades you specify. The sorting is done thru a grading, sorting system that is completely automatic.
For the small furniture, cabinet manufacturer or the do it yourself, look to the millwork and distribution department at our Buckhorn Yard. With in-house milling facilities, custom ripping, moulding, sanding, and surfacing are available. We make custom flooring for that special look for that one special room in your house. S4S lumber can reduce your lead-time and eliminate waste while helping you to reduce overhead. The dimension plant, Berlin Yard, has state-of-the-art equipment to produce panels and glued squares that are ready for you to use.
The international sales team has years of experience that have allowed the development of a network of shippers and exporters to get nearly any quantity of Appalachian sourced hardwood to any location in the world.
Ongoing expansion at the BuckhornYard includes a new sawmill with the latest technology and new buildings. Weve been making improvements since 2008 and got the new sawmill up and running in 2010. We are getting 10-15 percent more yield than we anticipated from the new sawmill and are very pleased with it, said Yoder.
