Over the past several years, Harvest Glow at Harvest Ridge has been a gathering spot for families looking for a fun time, filled with plenty of fall festivities, music and food.

The fourth annual Harvest Glow at Harvest Ridge will take place at the Holmes County Fairgrounds on Friday, Sept. 27 and Saturday, Sept. 28 from 6-9 p.m.

For the admission price of $4 per night (kids age 2 and younger are free), families can have a good time celebrating the harvest season together. The $4 entry fee covers all expenses except the food vendors.

New this year will be a trunk or treat for the kids, where no costume is required to grab a treat bag and experience Halloween fun a couple weeks ahead of schedule.

Harvest Ridge is sending out an open invitation to welcome anyone who would like to join, providing candy for the children from the trunk of their vehicle.

Those who wish to participate in trunk or treat need only show up armed with loads of goodies for the kids, prepared to hand out treats to eager youngsters.

“We wanted to invite the public in to share in the fun,” said Don Snow, Harvest Ridge director.

Trunk or treat will be both nights, and participants are invited to attend either night or both if they prefer. If anyone would like to participate, they can call Harvest Ridge at 330-600-4725 to let them know.

Other events during Harvest Glow include a pumpkin glow walk in the Harvest Ridge gardens, hay wagon rides for young and old, bounce houses, and food vendors.

Friday evening will feature live music from Mike Gorrell while The Musical Errors will hit the stage on Saturday.

Both days also will feature some yummy products from food vendors including Beach City BBQ, Amish Country Pizza, Brewed Bliss, A & M Donut Trailer and Velvet View Ice Cream.

In addition, while the kids are cavorting in the bounce houses, adults may want to spend some time at the vendors tables, where Our Hearts to Home Creations, Tupperware, Norwex, Vintage Rustic Sole, Gable Crest Gardens, Pink Zebra (jewelry and candles), Tyler Eichelberger Woodworking and other fall crafters will have décor for sale. The bounce houses and vendors will be located inside the expo center.
