Learn about lost town of Tappan
The village of Tappan is now currently under Tappan Lake’s waters.
The Tuscarawas County Public Library System will host Jon Baker at the Tuscarawas County Main Library to share stories and photos of the village of Tappan in the Lost City of Tappan program Tuesday, April 8 at 6 p.m. The village of Tappan is now currently under Tappan Lake’s waters.
Baker is a journalist and has written a book about Tappan called “The Hundred Years of Tappan.” Baker’s book will be available for purchase at the program.
“We enjoy hosting these events showcasing important local history at the library,” Michelle McMorrow Ramsell said. “We believe events like these can provide a wonderful opportunity to learn something new about your community.”
