Orrville Public Library’s monthly book club for adults will return Thursday, Sept. 14 with a discussion on “The Forest of Vanishing Stars” by Kristin Harmel.

At only 2 years old, Nona is stolen from her crib by an elderly Jewish woman and is raised for many years in the forest of Eastern Europe. Alone in 1941 after her caregiver dies, Nona encounters a group of Jews fleeing the Nazi terror. Shocked by what is going on in the outside world, she teaches the group all she can about surviving in the forest. She is eventually betrayed and escapes into a German village, where her past and present come shockingly together.

Pick up a book near the library’s information desk and plan to come to either the 10 a.m. or 6:30 p.m. gathering. No registration is needed. For more information call the library at 330-683-1065.
