The Wayne County Civil War Round Table, free and open to the public, will continue April 16 at 6:30 p.m. at the Wayne County Historical Society Schoolhouse, 546 E. Bowman St., Wooster.

The program will feature Steve and Lisa Ball on music of the Civil War. Using authentic Civil War era instruments, the Balls weave the songs and events of the American Civil War together.

Steve Ball is a musician from Columbus specializing in the music of the American Civil War and the music and life of Stephen Foster. He has studied the American Civil War since his teens and has devoted the past 20 years to studying the music of this era in American history. He has done programs for the Ohio Statehouse, the National Civil War Museum, the American Civil War Museum of Ohio, and many historical societies, genealogical societies, libraries, museums, Civil War Round Tables and other historical venues.

Lisa Ball often joins her husband on upright bass and vocal harmonies. She plays piano, guitar, bass and autoharp and also is knowledgeable on the history of the music. She has six ancestors who served in the Union Army.

There is parking onsite — enter from the Spink Street entrance — and along the fence in the Drug Mart parking lot.
