Voting in person at Wayne County’s Early Vote Center or on Election Day? Here are some tips from the Wayne County Board of Elections to ensure that your voting experience is easy and your vote will count:

—Look up your sample ballot at www.WayneCountyOH.gov before you come to vote.

—Research any candidates or issues you may be unfamiliar with to make informed choices.

—Have your unexpired, photo ID ready at check-in.

—Read and follow all directions and take your time when voting.

—In Wayne County, voters will need to scroll down for all Presidential/Vice Presidential Candidate Choices and for the entire language and choices for State Issue 1.

—Take the time to look at the review screens and ensure that your choices are accurate.

—Ensure that your choices are accurate on the printed Voter Verified Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) on the printer located next to the voting machine.

—Ensure your vote has been cast and confirmed (on screen and VVPAT).

—Be certain not to remove your Voter Access Card until the machine displays a green checkmark and confirms that your vote is cast.

—Please return your voter access card and get your “I Voted” sticker.

If you experience issues, need assistance or are unsure if your ballot was accepted, please ask an election official onsite to assist you. Remember, once you have cast your vote, it cannot be changed.

Ballot by mail

—Be aware that there are two cards (pages) for each ballot. There are four sides total to the ballot.

—Follow the directions and mark each of your choices by darkening the bubbles with blue or black ink (preferred).

—Complete the Identification envelope with name, address, date of birth, identification information and signature.

—Place your voted ballot (with “Stub A” intact) into the identification envelope and seal it.

—Place the completed identification envelope with your voted ballot in the return envelope provided.

Mailed ballots must be postmarked by Nov. 4, 2024, and require proper postage. You may also bring your ballot to the Wayne County Board of Elections, 200 Vanover St., Wooster. Individuals may bring their ballot into the BOE office or deposit it in the drop box in front of the building. The drop box is under 24/7 video surveillance.
