Trinity Hospital Twin City names its first Excellence Award winner
Trinity Hospital Twin Citys mission and standards team recently recognized its first Excellence Award winner, an award that is given to a hospital employee who demonstrates outstanding commitment to the hospitals mission and its values of reverence, service, and stewardship. The winning employee must demonstrate his or her commitment through professional and personal achievements, work and lifestyle. The 2013 winner is Barb Oberholzer of Uhrichsville.
Oberholzer was one of seven hospital employees nominated for the award, and she received recognition at the hospitals celebration of the Feast of St. Francis in October. Oberholzer has worked in various capacities at the hospital for more than twenty years, and she is currently a nurse in the Trinity Medical Group hospital-owned physician practice.
Kim Ferrell, hospital director of Laboratory Services, nominated Oberholzer for the award. Barb is a special person, always aware of what our patients need to be safe and comfortable, Ferrell said. No task or question is ever a bother to her. She comes to work every day with a smile and genuine desire to do the best. Her co-workers recognize her dedication; we know that we are fortunate to have her on our team.
All employees are encouraged to live the hospital mission and values each day, said Sister Dorothy Jayne Krupp, hospital director of mission integration. May we treat each person with kindness and gentleness and not be rude or judgmental. Each person is a reflection of the God who made us.
